An AD MEPSO team led by Mr. Burim Latifi, Director-General, had a significant meeting in Prishtina with Shaban Neziri, Acting Director of KOSTT.
The central subject of the discussion was the strategic project for the construction of a new 400 kV interconnection, Tetovo—Prizren, which will build a strong energy link between North Macedonia and Kosovo. The project is part of the regional plan for network development and is aligned with the European platform ENTSO-E.
Project’s fundamental benefits:
- Increasing electricity transmission capacities between the countries,
- Improving supply stability and safety,
- Higher efficiency in terms of electricity trading in the region,
- Renewables integration and green transition support.
Both parties agreed to intensify the technical and institutional cooperation to implement the mutual and regional interest project.
