The Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources organized a meeting regarding the ongoing activities and implementation of energy sector projects, on which representatives of ESM, MEPSO, NOMAGAS, and MEMO participated.

At the meeting, General Director Burim Latifi, together with members of the Board of Directors, presented the current activities, financial indicators, and the progress of infrastructure projects of strategic importance for the country’s electricity transmission system.

MEPSO reported positive financial performance in the first quarter of 2026, posting an operating profit. At the same time, revenues and expenditures for the first quarter were presented, along with activities related to cross-border transmission capacity auctions with Serbia and Bulgaria, which, as of January 2026, have been conducted through JAO.

During the meeting, the progress of MEPSO’s ongoing investment and infrastructure projects was also reviewed, including the Bitola–Elbasan interconnection project, the Ohrid substation, the East-West Corridor, and other projects forming part of the company’s development program.

The Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, emphasized that the stability of the power system, the timely implementation of projects, and the fulfillment of the obligations under the Reform Agenda remain key priorities
