Maintenance of transmission line network

• In 2008 the maintenance of transmission line network was carried out on regular basis in accordance with the annual and weekly operating schedules.
  
  The scope of works completed was according to the duties and obligation arising from the operating tasks and accordingly regular inspection, revision, repairs, reconstruction and rehabilitations of transmission network were made.
  
  In addition to the activities related to maintenance on regular bases the employees were engaged also in activities for works which were not provided for under the annual and weekly schedules and which arose from the current needs of the electric power system.
  
  More significant and bigger in scope of activities during facility reconstructions and rehabilitation were implemented in
  
  - rehabilitation to a part of OHTL SS Vrutok-HPP Spile by replacement of old cap-pin toughened porcelain insulators with new glass cap-pin toughened insulators and retightening of conductors;
  - replacement of old cap-pin toughened porcelain insulators with new glass cap-pin toughened insulators and retightening of conductors at 35 kV OHTL SS Skopje 4 – SS Skopje 2;
  - dismantling and installation of primary ties on transformer in SS Skopje 1;
  - dismantling and installation of primary ties on transformer in SS Dubrovo;
  - special engagement of transmission line crews was made to 400 kV OHTL SS Stip- Macedonian-Bulgarian border and SS Bitola 2 – Greek border.
  
  OHTL crews were also engaged in the recovery of the errors on the transmission lines as follows:
  
  - SS Skopje 1 – SS Gorce Petrov;
  - SS Skopje 4 – SS Skopje 3;
  - SS Skopje 4 – SS Skopje 2;
  - HPP Vrutok – SS Skopje 1
  
  in mutual operations with crews of AD EMO – Ohrid and MEPOS Operation department from Kavadarci.
  
  Work of employees in the department during 2008 carried out on works related to:
  
  - maintenance on regular basis and works on remedying the defects and reconstruction of facilities in the subsidiary TSO;
  - engagement of experts from the Department in experts commissions in order to prepare and produce tender documentation, revision to As-built designs, Study reports for internal technical inspections and supervision of electric installation works during construction and reconstruction of transmission lines and substations.
  
  More significant than these activities are as follows:
  - Participation in commissions for technical review, acceptance and revisions of designs for relocation of transmission lines due to construction of the north surrounding ring of the Skopje city;
  - harmonization of design for relocation of OHTL no 104/103/3 SS Skopje 1 – SS Tetovo 1 near Kuceviska bara;
  - harmonization of design for relocation of OHTL no 125 SS Skopje 1 – Miladinovci 1 near Stajkovci;
  - harmonization of design for relocation of OHTL no 126 SS Skopje 1 – Miladinovci 2 near Stajkovci;
  - internal technical acceptance of 400 kV OHTL SS Bitola 2 – Greek border;
  - internal technical acceptance of 400 kV OHTL SS Stip (Dubrovo) – Macedonian-Bulgarian border;
  - Connection with 400 kV OHTL SS Stip (Dubrovo) – Macedonian-Bulgarian border from gantry in Duborvo to tower no. 1;
  - connection (by pass) with 400 kV OHTL SS Stip (Dubrovo) – Macedonian-Bulgarian border between tower no. 114 from OHTL Dubrovo – Stip with tower no 1 from OHTL Stip - Macedonian-Bulgarian border in Stip;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the new 110 kV OHTL Skopje 1 – SS Tetovo;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the new 110 kV OHTL Bitola 1 – SS Prilep 1;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the new 110 kV connection (input-output) of SS 110/35 kV Petrovec;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the revitalization of 110 kV OHTL HPP Spile – HPP Globocica;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the revitalization of 110 kV OHTL HPP Globocica – SS Struga;
  - participation in producing the tender documentation for the dislocation of 110 kV OHTL SS Stip 1 – SS Stip 2; 110 kV SS Stip 1 – SS
  Kocani; 110 kV OHTL SS Stip 1 – SS Probistip; for the construction of 400/110 kV SS Stip;
  - participation in commission for electrification of non electrified villages in the Republic of Macedonia.
  The maintenance activities performed on regular basis including the remeadying of defects and reconstruction of facilities was done in:
  
  January:
  - cutting of vegetation 21 gaps;
  - 147 insulators replaced;
  - 219 profiles placed and 466 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 4 current bridges replaced.
  
  February:
  - cutting of vegetation 32 gaps;
  - 92 insulators replaced;
  - 509 profiles placed and 1018 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 10 anchors of breakdown OHTL placed.
  
  March:
  - cutting of vegetation 68 gaps;
  - 30 insulators replaced;
  - 78 profiles placed and 232 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 8 patchers placed and 2 compressed splicers.
  
  April:
  - cutting of vegetation 22 gaps;
  - 90 insulators replaced;
  - 164 profiles placed and 484 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 10 plates placed on towers.
  
  May:
  - cut ting of vegetation 25 gaps;
  - 78 insulators replaced;
  - 81 profiles placed and 172 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 3 current bridges placed.
  
  June:
  - cutting of vegetation 50 gaps;
  - 208 insulators replaced;
  - 28 profiles placed ;
  - 94 bolds with nuts built in.
  
  July:
  - cutting of vegetation 21 gaps;
  - 65 insulators replaced;
  - 359 winkles placed and 1010 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 7 current bridges and current terminals replaced.
  
  August:
  - cutting of vegetation 10 gaps;
  - 46 insulators replaced;
  - 270 profiles placed and 512 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 6 decliners and 6 anchors replaced.
  
  September:
  - cutting of vegetation 12 gaps;
  - 2 insulators replaced;
  - 251profiles placed and 589 bolts and nuts built in;
  - 6 decliners and 11 anchors placed.
  
  October:
  - cutting of vegetation 39 gaps;
  - 57 insulators replaced;
  - 134 profiles placed and 345 bolts and nuts placed;
  - 6 anchors and 6 decliners placed and added 1 conducting wire.
  
  November:
  - cutting of vegetation 30 gaps;
  - 91 insulators replaced;
  - 135 profiles placed and 435 bolts and nuts placed;
  - 6 anchors, 11 decliners and 7 current bridges placed.
  
  December:
  - cutting of vegetation 19 gaps;
  - 99 insulators replaced;
  - 104 winkles placed and 176 bolts and nuts placed;
  - 7 current bridges placed.
