The transmission system operator as an organizational unit within the TSO subsidiary at AD MEPSO – Skopje, is in charge of maintaining and rehabilitation of 110; 150; 220; and 400 kV transmission power network in Macedonia.

TTSO is organized in two units such as:

Maintenance unit;
Development and measurement division;

The maintenance unit within its composition has two transmission line crews:

- transmission line crew with a head office in Skopje;
- transmission line crew with a head office in Bitola;
- Development and measurement division

The 35; 110; 150 (110); 220 and 400 kV network that is maintenance by the Transmission line department has total length of 2134,92 km as follows:

The table demonstrates that every year the length of the transmission network increases (in comparison with 2004 when it used to be 2.046 km). During the current year have been put into operation two (2) 400 kV OHTL such as SS Bitola 2 – Greek border and SS Stip (Duborovo)- Macedonian-Bulgarian border with total length of 88,47 km.
