One of the key AD MEPSO management staff goals is to improve the criteria for socially accountable company which means transparency in operation and responsibility to publicity.

In the course of 2008 AD MEPSO undertook series of measures and activities to promote transparency in its operation in order to bring near the specific company’s business to the wider local publicity.

One of the main activities we are proud of is the duly and on regular basis information from more profiles of our business on the company’s intranet site www.mepso.com.mk

Ever since February, AD MEPSO started with regular and day-to-day announcement of daily information regarding the electricity consumption and production on its internet site. Simultaneously, the practice started in announcing monthly dispatching reports on electricity consumption and production.

AD MEPSO, in parallel, commenced to organize and conduct auctions with respect to allocation of free electricity transmission capacities which are successfully announced and conducted even nowadays. Constant orientation and strategy of company’s management is this practice to keep on going. Now the spectrum of auctions is enriched with annual, monthly and weekly auctions on allocation of transmission capacity by means of which AD MEPSO meets the requirements of its prospective clients for better planning of their activities and optimizing their resources.

AD MEPSO started organizing by the end of April 28 and conducting auctions to offer night electricity surpluses generated by the local electric power system. The notifications of auctions, rules of auctions, procedures and applications accompanied with the time limit have always been announced on the company’s internet site. AD MEPSO has received positive responds from clients and publicity on the organization of auctions. The model of their organization has been fully undertaken by ELEM, a company which starting from 5 September 2008 undertook the power system supply with electricity.

In 2008 AD MEPSO organized few press conferences on significant and current topics among which one presentation for reporters with touring the National Dispatching Center in order to bring near its activity to the Macedonian publicity. It has always informed the publicity on all its activities on regular basis, and on 15 December it also organized a solemn commissioning of the 400 kV OHTL S/S Dubrovo (R. Macedonia) – Crvena Mogila (R. Bulgaria). This event held at S/S Dubrovo OHTL was solemnly put into operation by Mr. Nikola Gruevski, the Prime-Minister and Mr. Sergej Stanisev, the Bulgarian Prime-Minister.
